Jawai Dam is located in Pali district. It is some 140 km from Jodhpur and 70 km from Pali. . The rocks surrounding the dam are dramatically formed by volcanic lava eruptions .. hundreds years ago with amazing figures. The backwaters of dam and the area surrounded by us rich of fauna especially vivid migratory birds , huge number of crocodiles and the most spectacular ... the leopards. This dam consists of more than 500 crocodiles and various migratory birds including flamingos, Indian Courser, etc.
It beautiful landscape, clean water and small hill surrounding it. But in recent past it has become immensely popular for Leopard sighting. It is also called Leopard hill of India due to Similar name documentary which aired on Discovery channel.
